A medical delivery startup

Hired to build a CRM and driver tracker for a new venture with no existing customer base. After an initial assessment, we recommended a different path: acquire an existing business with cash flow rather than build one from zero. SYNQ led the deal evaluation, built a custom valuation tool that ingested seller communications, financials, and documents to surface red flags and produce a defensible offer price, and supported the live negotiation.

The result: a $400K-asking-price business being acquired for $271K — roughly $129K saved through data-backed counteroffer. Estimated avoided first-year losses from the original ‘build from scratch’ plan: $200K+. We continue to manage the operating systems as the acquired business is integrated.

A forensic consulting firm

Built custom scheduling software for a forensic consultant who specializes in cruise ship audits. The previous workflow took a full day to plan a single trip — sifting through a poorly designed third-party site to identify which ships were in which ports on which dates.

The application we built aggregates data across cruise lines, ships, and ports, and lets the consultant search any combination in seconds. The deeper value: it converts every trip from a single-audit engagement into a potential multi-audit route. Technical stack: API integrations, web scraping, custom database, filterable UI. Production-grade and running daily.

We do ongoing technology and operations work for an investment firm. The work spans workflow infrastructure, internal dashboards, document intelligence, and decision-support tools across multiple workflows.

About

SYNQ is led by Enrique, an MBA-trained operator with 15+ years across SaaS, professional services, and small business advisory. The combination at SYNQ is one he kept needing in his own work and rarely found in the same person: someone who can read a P&L, evaluate a business decision, and then build the production software to support whichever direction the data points.

We work together to look at the business with fresh perspective. The work tends to involve some combination of building software, redesigning processes, and clearing the path for owners to grow into what the business could be.
